ivecojoe. 1,192 12. Jan 21, 2018 #2. The 2.8 is a very solid reliable mtr, just needs proper servicing, prone to head gasket failure which pressurises the water system, if the water resovoir has gone brown its a sure sign as oil has got ino water system.

Sep 19, 2015 #1. Hi, I have a coach built iveco daily 4910 bus with the 2.8 turbo engine. I don't use it often but every time I come to start it it is a nightmare to get it running. It turns overy and usually takes upto a minute until it fires. I'm cirtain its lack of fuel and takes that long for the fuel to be drawn through to the cylinders.

It has a 76-litre fuel tank, so expect an approximate driving range of 753km (according to our on-test fuel consumption), factoring in a 30km safety buffer. On our towing loop, of more than 200km total, the dash was showing 14.5L/100km, but we recorded an actual fuel-consumption figure of 15.5L/100km. vUUoW.
